Dinner with chotto

On Wednesday 21st August, chotto returned to Supernormal Canteen with a menu inspired by Japanese food through the ages. 

Served as a tasting menu across seven dishes, the food was a modern riff on traditional Japanese favourites - including chotto’s take on takoyaki (as a smoked eel donut) and gyoza.

Being a mid-winter feast, there was a beef short rib sukiyaki, chotto’s signature binchotan-grilled fish, and two desserts. The thoughtful and beautifully executed menu was complemented by matching sake from Yukino and Deja Vu sake.
